THE THOUSAND KYOTO will set up a bee hive on the hotel roof in May 2021 and start the "Urban Beekeeping Project", the first initiative for a hotel in Kyoto. And in 2022, we will collect honey, which is a blessing from carefully raised bees. This honey, collected on the rooftop of a hotel in front of Kyoto Station, is brought by bees from familiar nectar sources such as trees, plants, and flowers in Kyoto City within a radius of 2 to 3 km. In May 2021, THE THOUSAND KYOTO installed a honeybee hive on the roof of the hotel and launched the "Urban Beekeeping Project," the first of its kind among hotels in Kyoto.
